Our next Basic Facilitator/Peer Specialist Training will be held April 24-28, 2016, here in Killeen. The class is open to anyone who has been through the MVPN Basic training and is recommended by their Volunteer Coordinator.

The training is open to those who want to provide group Peer Support.  Training is comprehensive and includes role play, group work, partner work, videos, and didactic.  Students are given the opportunity to co-facilitator three peer groups and to guest facilitator for two peer groups.  Students are evaluated for their work done in these group exercises by their instructor, other group members and themselves.  Upon leaving the class students have many tools in their tool chest that they can use to help other Service Members, Veterans and their families.  Veterans wishing to take this class must first see their area's MPVN Volunteer Coordinator and meet the MPVN qualifications which include attending the Basic Training Class, attending groups, volunteering, and a commitment for future involvement.  Contact your MVPN Volunteer Coordinator today.
