We will be offering Military Informed Care (MIC) (formally Military Cultural Competency (MCC)) Training. What is MIC you ask? MIC training is a two hour training which will cover what it is like in the military (from enlistment to discharge), the issues service members, veterans and their families face upon discharge from the service, and some techniques which will allow you to best assist them.

On October 28th, we will be offering Military Informed Care (MIC) (formally Military Cultural Competency (MCC)) Training. What is MIC you ask? MIC training is a two hour training which will cover what it is like in the military (from enlistment to discharge), the issues service members, veterans and their families face upon discharge from the service, and some techniques which will allow you to best assist them.

Who is this training good for? It is good for anyone who has contact with service members, veterans and their families (SMVF). You never know who is an SMVF, so this training is beneficial for everyone.

This training will be from 1:30-3:30. CEU’s are available for some. The training will be conducted at the MVPN Abilene Peer Networking Center, 765 Orange Street (next door to ECI).

If you would like to attend and are a service member, veteran, or family member please sign up for the training at milvetpeer.net. All others can respond to this email stating which training you would like to attend. Sign up early as class size is limited to 15 people.
