WELCOME MVPN VOLUNTEER!

The Gulf Coast center provides an essential service to the community veterans through their Veteran Support Services.

The Veteran Services Department of the Gulf Coast Center is a grant funded program covered under House Bill 2392 An Act relating to the Mental Health Program for Veterans.

The Veterans Services department makes up the Gulf Coast Chapter of Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN).

Our network assists veterans and their family members in connecting to their peers and veteran service providers locally and state-wide.

Our program also helps to recruit and train veteran volunteers so they can provide peer to peer support through veteran peer groups and individual mentoring.

Community veteran integration services are offered by partnering with local veteran programs to make appropriate referrals.

We are also members of the Veterans Treatment Court Mentoring team.

We thank you for volunteering your time and continuing service as we continue a legacy of Vets Serving Vets!

Veteran Volunteer Coordinator: Heather Melton

May be contacted at:(409) 944.4437 ext. 10052 or HeatherM@gulfcoastcenter.org
