Read the article by the Wacotrib.com and apologize for the delay in commenting, I agree with some of the stuff written in the article. There are many veterans who are hesitant to seek help because of the stigma that has been attached to all veterans if they were in combat. Often times it's the family who ask or seek help for their loved ones, even that at times it is not easy for them. We as mental health professional or veteran peer specialists, coordinators must push for more outreach within our communities to let veterans and their families know that there is help and that they are not alone. If the veteran is hesitant to go the the Vet Center, the VA, or local mental health agencies then we must go to them, let them know they are not and will not be forgotten. Once again, Tim thanks for sharing.
